Last evening the cemetery at Camp Casey in Crawford was vandalized as a man in a pick up truck drove through the makeshift memorial. Most residents of the camp were attending a prayer service and no one was injured.... The group on the ground are working to replace the nearly 500 crosses destroyed by the vandalism. The crosses (patterned after Arlington West) have served as a unifying focus at Camp Casey, where both counter demonstrators and supporters have given used them to memorialize the US soldiers killed in Iraq...."
