Jack Payden-Travers
Jack Payden-Travers is the director of VADP. He has been an educator and nonviolence trainer since college in the 1960s. He is part of the Supreme Court 9 who were arrested at the US Supreme Court on Jan 17, 2007, the 30th anniversary of the execution by firing squad of Gary Gilmore. Jack is scheduled for trial on June 28th for displaying a banner reading STOP EXECUTIONS and for praying for an end to the death penalty on the marble plaza of the Court.
