Rupert Murdoch clarifies Rulership

Not too long ago Rupert Murdock would have trounced anyone in his media group for letting the ‘cat out of the bag’ (stating plain truth). It was therefore with jaw-dropping amazement that a local Australian audience listened to Murdock plainly state that we should not allow a particular administration to affect our attitude to the United States. “Administrations come and go?, he said, inferring REAL POWER, which Murdock represents, continues unaffected by the whims of democratic process!

Crisis in Oaxaca: What You Need to Know

The Oaxaca crisis began when the state's school teachers went on strike May 22, demanding not only raises but bigger budgets for schools in poor rural parts of the state. Governor Ulises Ruiz refused to budge on their demands. The teachers launched a sit-in at Oaxaca City's central square, the zocalo, and began occupying several streets in the downtown historic district. As Ruiz held his ground, the sit-in swelled to a tent city of several thousand.

Wake-up Call

If after comparing actual events with posturing and rhetoric you conclude that Western governments serve minority corporate interests rather than the interests of the people, you would have discovered the lie that is democracy. You may also be surprised to discover that the majority of people who live in so-called democratic societies are actually compliant slaves! Governments that are SUBJECT to the rule of minority Corporate/Financial elites could hardly be expected to serve the interests of the majority if their masters specialise in inequity, disparity and the concentration of wealth in the fewest possibly hands. The appropriate response to any politician who states they are serving the interests of democracy, liberty or the people should therefore be, LIAR – unless of course you belong to the category of mindless slaves referred to above!

Tony Blair: “Poisonous Propaganda?

Tony (45 mins) Blair, member of the coalition of willing criminals and terrified of the prospect of facing a war crimes tribunal, has today labelled the dissenting voice of opposition (justice) as “poisonous propaganda?. The world received this ridiculous statement with ample incredulity. We are all familiar with the politics of inversion and pathologically lying Prime Ministers (Blair and Howard) but this latest desperate statement from Blair even elicited a bray from the Whitehouse donkey, who is far too busy with his own problems to offer any assistance to his partner in crime. The three most notorious murderers of the 21st century, Bush, Blair and Howard are facing an extremely hazardous future!

Steal back your vote

Published by Greg Palast November 6th, 2006 in Articles

by Greg Palast

Steal Back Your Vote
A lot of advice we’re getting from our progressive friends is to take photos of your ballot and silly stuff like that. Well, that’s all about how to complain after they steal it. I have a better idea: Win, don’t whine.

The regime’s sneak attack via vote suppression [see, “How They Stole the Mid-Term Election?] will only net them about 4.5 million votes. You should be able to beat that blindfolded. As that will cost about 5% of the vote. That means you can’t win with 51% of the vote anymore. So just get over it. If you can’t get the 55% you need for regime change, then you’re just a bunch of crybaby pussycats who don’t deserve to take charge.

#1: Vote Early, Vote Often

Vote today — at early voting stations — so you can spend tomorrow bringing out others to vote. Also, if you’re challenged, you’ve got another day to bring in more ID or scream bloody murder to your county elections board about your missing registration.

#2: Gang Vote

Arrive with five! Never go bowling, make love or vote alone. And volunteer at get-out-the-vote operations. It’s worth it just for the stale donuts, cold coffee and hot democracy.

#3: Tell Them to Take Their Provisional Ballot and …

If they try to hand you a “provisional ballot,? scream bloody murder. If there’s a problem with your ID or registration, demand adjudication from a poll monitor, come back with proper ID, or demand appeal to the county supervisor of elections.

But don’t just walk away. If it’s provisional or nothing, take it — then return for the count to defend it.

#4: Get to Work

Volunteer to bring out the vote. Or watch a poll — to challenge the challengers. Get credentials; don’t freelance — you’ll likely get thrown out. Either get credentials from the parties or get information on how you can slay vote-eating dragons in your area from the National Campaign for Fair Elections the umbrella group including NAACP, Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under the Law and People for the American Way (NationalCampaignForFairElections.org).

Sedition and Popular Media

Conservative (far right) ‘governments’ – presentation marionettes of Corporate and Financial interests – have unanimously implemented “new sweeping? (slogan) anti-terrorist and sedition laws to constrain or otherwise stifle dissent and opposing ‘views’. Conservatives can always be relied upon to implement the most lacklustre ‘solutions’. In characteristic mode they have all resorted to Legislation in a futile attempt to silence dissenting and protesting ‘voices’. Legislation has always been the refuge of all scoundrel governments and inept politicians. Nevertheless, the popular media remains unaffected by the new laws and continues to demonise, misrepresent, distort and omit details in order to present a ‘tailored reality’ to the public. Circumventing the ‘new sweeping laws’ is child’s play for any journo, analyst, artist or professional media manufacturer/fabulator/fabricator – WHY?
