7th and Cary Street, Downtown Richmond

Dominion is fleecing Virginia consumers through its excess profits that came as part of “deregulation� of electric utilities and by receiving taxpayer money to finance its new nuclear reactors.

It’s time to tell Dominion to “Come Clean!� No more excessive profits and no more dirty energy!

We will be assembling at 11:30 (putting up banners and signs) The press is invited at 12:00 noon.

This event is being coordinated by The Sierra Club (along with PACE and Public Citizen).

at the Opening of the Chernobyl Photo Exhibit

Gabriela Bulisova, the photographer, and her husband, Kevin Kamps, from the Nuclear Information Resource Service, will be speaking about the exhibit and what we must do to prevent a similar catastrophe from happening again.

Film: “Chernobyl Heart�

This is a very powerful film that has been shown at the U.N. and which has won an Oscar for its portrayal of the effects of the disaster on local residents. For more info on the film, see:

The film will be shown at the Sierra Club Headquarters, 6 North 6th Street, Suite 102, in Richmond (Downtown between Franklin and Main Streets)

*Directions to the April 21st event at Dominion’s Headquarters in downtown Richmond at 7th and Cary Streets (travel time: 1 ½ hr)

1. Take I-64 EAST - go 65.2 mi
2. Take exit #76B – go .1 mi (toward US-301/BELVIDERE ST )
3. Turn Left on W. LEIGH ST - go .1 mi
4. Turn Right on BELVIDERE ST [US-1] - go .6 mi
5. Turn Left on CARY ST [VA-147] - go .7 mi
6. Arrive at 7th ST, at E CARY ST, RICHMOND

Please use these directions, below:

Directions from Cville (1 hour from Cville):
Take I-64 East
Exit at 178-B
(which will put you on 250 East which is the same as Broad)
Turn left onto Dominion Blvd, and park as close to that corner as you can

**For those holding banners or signs**:

The corner of Broad and Dominion is the best place for the signs to be seen.

(Over 500 people are expected and seating for the meeting opens at 8:30 a.m.

So, if people are there holding signs from 8:30 to 9:30, that will be how to catch the highest number of people.

*** Directions to the April 24th Photo Exhibit and the April 26th Film:

From I-64 East (travel time: an hour and a half from Cville)

Take Exit 75 onto North #3rd St. – go .8 mile

Turn Left onto East Franklin Street – go .2 mile

Turn Right on North 6th Street – go .1 mil

Arrive at 6 North 6th Street on the right.
