Demonstrate for Free Speech

Dec 2 action to support the seven Hampton University students facing expulsion for exercising their right to free speech.
On Dec 2, Hampton University will hold hearings to decide if they will expel seven students who participated in the World Can't Wait Nov 2 actions. The seven students are being charged with handing out "non-approved" flyers which included anti-war literature, disenfranchisement of Katrina survivors, the AIDS crisis, and atrocities in Sudan. The University has not taken action on the distribution of flyers by other individuals announcing "parties" that were not "approved" or "sanctioned" by University policy.

There will be a peaceful gathering to support the actions of these students on Friday, Dec. 2nd at 8:30 a.m. at Settler's Landing Road and Tyler Street in Hampton. This is on the perimeter of the campus.

It is also helpful to contact the following decision-makers via phone and/or email.
