President Chávez declares that the Cuban Revolution will survive without Fidel Castro as its historical leader.

Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez declared on Tuesday that he has “encouraging? information on a quick recovery of Fidel Castro, and he declared that the Cuban leader recently commented to him that if he dies, Cuba is ready to follow its revolutionary trend.

Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez declared on Tuesday that he has “encouraging? information on a quick recovery of Fidel Castro, and he declared that the Cuban leader recently commented to him that if he dies, Cuba is ready to follow its revolutionary trend.

"Fidel will be, within 3 days, 80 years old (birthday), we are going to wish you a very happy birthday, father of the revolutionary people of this continent?, said Chávez in a televised speech on Tuesday.

“I was saying this because I have much faith, much faith, in the fact that Fidel is going to be totally recovered from his illness and the surgery he went through. We have very encouraging information concerning this fact", Chávez indicated.

Later, when referring to the future of his own government, which Chávez declares as “revolutionary? in this South American nation, the Venezuelan president commented that Fidel Castro had told him that if he dies, Cuba is prepared to follow the trend followed since 1959.
