Local community members and members of Roadside Theater/Appalshop (Holla 2 the Hood) from Whitesburg, KY will read the script of a new play, Prisoner Count Standing, written from the personal stories of Virginia prisoners and prison employees and their families, and people living in communities where prisons are located. Roadside Theater is a professional theater company that creates and tours plays written from the stories of its family and neighbors in the central Appalachian Mountain Virginia (Keen Mountain, Red Onion & Wallens Ridge State Prisons) region. Followed by audience discussion. Hosted by the nonprofit group Resource Information Help for the Disadvantaged (RIHD) assisting, uplifting & empowering at-risk youth, prisoner, & ex-offender through self-help rehabilitation. "Knowledge is the Key towards Freedom"
