Enraged directed by Eyal Eithcowich

"Enraged" follows a group of Jewish-Israeli activists who refuse to sit back while the occupation continues. They bring food into Palestinian villages under curfew, tear down parts of the separation barrier, and serve as human shields for Palestinian demonstrators. In Israel they are ostracized; in Palestine they endure a similar fate to that of the Palestinians—they are beaten, sprayed with tear-gas, and shot at with rubber-coated bullets. One such bullet hits one of the film's main characters, a 16 year old boy from Tel Aviv, in the head, permanently impairing his eyesight. The heroes of "Enraged" jolt viewers out of their passivity, forcing them to ask: what can I do to end the occupation?

“Enraged? premiered at the Haifa International Film Festival last October, was broadcast several times on Israeli TV and was shown in theaters in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

Dry point workshop by Art On Wheels

A printmaking technique developed during the Middle Ages from the metalworking techniques of goldsmiths and armorers, drypoint was used by some of the most famous printmakers in history, including Rembrandt Van Rijn, Albrect Durer, and Francisco Goya. This technique evolved into etching, a highly regarded process still used today. In this class students will create their own drypoint, using tools to carve grooves into a plate. Ink is then wiped across the plate and printed through a printmaking press. Materials provided.

To sign up for this workshop go to Gallery5 or email:info@artonwheels-va.org
