Too High A Price

The real cost of the war with Iraq is ephemeral.

"Evil when we are in its power is not felt as evil but as a necessity, or even a duty."
Simone Weil, Gravity and Grace, 1947

The cost of the liberation of Iraq is NOT in the lives lost (civilian or military) on either side. The REAL cost of this war is the corruption of our nation's soul. Watching all of the rah rah news coverage on television makes me feel like a dinosaur. When did it become obsolete for Americans to question the probity of their country's course?
