This Thursday night, February 12, is your chance to both be the media online and resist the war with poetry.

At 7pm at Queer Paradise (319 N. Adams), the Richmond Independent Media Center hosts the second installment of its Be The Media workshop series. This time, the focus is on how to actively use this website. Come get face-to-face, hands-on help with using the revolutionary yet simple technology indymedia relies on. Read the full story.

At 9pm at the Polkadot Gallery (817 W. Broad), join Richmond Poets Against the War for their one year anniversary reading. The event will feature performances by local poets and music by Rasul the Nobody and friends, but it's also importantly an open mic, so bring your own poem/spoken word/manifesto/short narrative to read for all.
