Eleven million people live without papers in the U.S. They live here, work here and contribute to our society. Find out how U.S. foreign economic policy forces people to leave their homelands to find employment in the U.S. and how the U.S. economy depends on their exploited labor. Now these people who come to the U.S. face a rising tide of xenophobia and anti-immigrant legislation.

Richmond IMC's Jen Lawhorne spent the middle part of the summer along the U.S.-Mexico border investigating immigration issues. Find out more about what she learned and her participation in anti-border vigilante actions near San Diego.
